CE credits are available for the seminars and process groups.
Psychotherapy Training Seminars
In each of the first two years of the training program, classes and materials are arranged into differents units, each organized around a specific topic/theory.
Individual Supervision-one hour/week
Supervised clinical work is an important component of psychotherapy training. Students are required to obtain individual supervision for one or more ongoing psychotherapy cases during the three years of training, with a minimum of 30 hours of clinical supervision per year. Supervision must be arranged from supervisors with the approval of the Chair of the training program. Fees for individual supervision are determined by arrangement between the supervisee and supervisor, and payments are made directly to the supervisor. The Chair is available to assist trainees in identifying suitable supervisors, some of whom may be able to provide supervision at reduced fees where circumstances warrant.
Personal Psychotherapy
A personal psychoanalytic or cognitive psychotherapy (or analysis) is considered essential for a complete training in psychotherapy and is a requirement of the training program. Students are encouraged to have psychotherapy from a therapist approved by the institute.
